Our Staff
Dean, Youens, & Rosser uses the diverse, professional, forestry knowledge and experience supplied by its staff of professional foresters to provide high quality timberland management services for landowners in the Ark-La-Tex area. Our foresters have experience across Northeast Texas, North Louisiana, and South Arkansas as procurement foresters, timberland managers, and administrators. Dean, Youens, & Rosser is one of the few forestry consulting companies that has the diverse, professional experience which is necessary to learn the various facets and nuances of the timber industry.
Buddy Rosser

Buddy graduated from Louisiana Tech University in 1997 with a Bachelor of Science in Forest Management. Buddy has been a professional forester for over 20+ years. He worked as an industrial forester for Anthony Forest Products as a procurement forester, timberland manager, environmental management system coordinator, and general manager of forestry until becoming a forestry consultant in 2015.
Alan Youens
Texas Accredited Forester #83
Alan graduated from Stephen F. Austin State University in 1973 with a Bachelor of Science in Forest Management. Alan has been a professional forester for over 45+ years. He worked as an industrial forester for International Paper, Anthony Forest Products, and Georgia Pacific as both a procurement forester and timberland manager until becoming a forestry consultant in 1993.
R. J. (Jack) Dean
Founder
Jack graduated from Texas A&M University in 1949 with a degree in Ag Education. He worked as an Agricultural Extension Agent until becoming a timber consultant in 1984 at the advice of many local landowners. Jack retired in 2015 and went to be with the LORD in September of 2022.
